Dept. of Insincere Advice

How predictable is this? The minute things are looking bad for the Republicans, a liberal courageously steps forward to tell them it's because they're too buddy-buddy with the "rightwing base."

    Riddle me this:
    There was a strong martial emphasis at the RNC last night, replete with Medal of Honor Winners, a video of a Navy SEAL, a recounting of McCain's heroism.
    Was that pandering, or is this simply who the Republicans (and, indeed, so many Americans) really are?
