Jackie Seal, American hero

Grilled by MSNBC's Norah O'Donnell at a Palin book signing, where 17-year-old Jackie was wearing a T-shirt that said: "The US government handed out $700 billion in Wall Street bailouts and all I got was this lousy T-shirt."

And you've got to love Jackie's description of the core principles: "The Constitution was written so that government would be limited and so that it didn't become out-of-control and was in the hands of the people."

You can bet she didn't learn that in public school.

UPDATE: Wow, I just discovered that Jackie is one of my Twitter friends. I had no idea who she was, but it turns out my hunch was right: She didn't learn that in public school. She attends a Christian academy and has already signed a soccer scholarship for a Christian college.

Oh, yeah, and "progressive" blog-trolls hate her. It's only a matter of time before she's denounced by Rachel Maddow. She may even make Keith Olbermann's "Worst Person In The World" list, which is every young conservative's life-goal nowadays.

UPDATE II: Dude! She's got a blog! (Listen, Jackie, my twin sons are also 17 years old. Both Christian home-schooled kids. They're probably unworthy of you, but just keep them in mind, OK?)

  1. Shuster responds in "it's interesting to hear them." So, instead of saying "supporters" or something of the like... it seems as if he's made them out to be a strawman already. The whole bit about "no matter what, they'll still support her despite what she has done."

Isn't this the genius who kept the meme up against a right-winger about Glenn Beck and some of his imagery that Glenn had the idea that there were FEMA concentration camps when in fact Mr. Beck and Popular Mechanics debunked that theory?

  2. Yes, Jackie has a blog, and has been discovered by the trolls.

While I am sure she can handle it, I hate for anyone, especially a young teen be subjected to the left wing hate diatribe.

Give her some positive strokes if you go.

Are you still trying to pawn off those two wastrels on respectable young Christian ladies? Listen, Jackie, I understand they secretly wear Vatican II T-shirts under their clothes...

  4. Er, she likely wouldn't be interested in twins... probably the traditional monogamous type. Just sayin'.

  5. Yeah, it really was awful how O'Donnell pointed out that Palin supported the bank bailouts...
"The whole bit about "no matter what, they'll still support her despite what she has done." ", well yeah, as Ms. Seal shows that is true. It is one of the fringe benefits of pandering to the faithful: they tend to invest the same blind faith in their politicians.
Ms. Seal shouldn't be subjected to any "left-wing" venom. We tend to be more forgiving towards those who don't know any better...

  7. Our "neutral" media at work. And of course she will treat a 17 year old girl in line to buy Al Gore's new book with exactly the same amount of aggressive skepticism...provided she can fine *anybody* in line to buy his book.

    Right?
