But what you may not know is that it also functions as an allusion to the college days of Robert Gibbs, when, as the keyboardist of a metrosexual band, he had an encounter with a woman who'd escaped an explosion in a Mary Kay warehouse wearing a trash bag, and he experienced a Friedersdorfian freak-out.
