CPAC planning

Messaged a friend Monday afternoon:
"When you get to DC Wednesday evening, call and I'll meet you at the lobby bar of the Omni Shoreham. All the bloggers will be there, and I may even let you buy them drinks. (One works up a powerful thirst blogging.)"
Won't you please contribute? It's for the children!

BTW, the first party of CPAC will be the Reason Happy Hour at the Big Hunt, beginning at 6 p.m. Wednesday. It's a libertarian scene, but neocons, paleocons and social conservatives are always welcome. Reasonoids are open and tolerant like that.

It used to be that patriotism was the last refuge of the scoundrel. Now, it's libertarianism. And speaking of Nick Gillespie and scoundrels, Nick informs us that Obama has entrusted his economic recovery plan to . . . Joe Biden.

Hit the tip jar. Things are getting scary.

UPDATE: Speaking of scary, CPAC granted credentials to Jimmy Bise Jr. of the Sundries Shack. Just bring gin for Little Miss Attila, Jimmy.

  2. "Libertarianism is the last refuge of the scoundrel".

    My God, what a tagline!

My jealously knows no bounds that you'll be at Reason's Happy Hour party. I can't make it to CPAC this year, but I promise to hold my own Reasons' Happy Hour here in Detroit.

Oh, and I of course will be hitting the tip jar promptly. It's for the children, after all!

  3. My last deadline is here in Los Angeles on Wednesday night, so I'm flying out on Thursday; I won't be there until after dinner . . . a day late, and . . . five-foot-one.

Which means I'll miss the Reason party, but if I'm not too exhausted I'll find you guys after I check in and we can have a nightcap.

Yhe real work starts on Friday; I hope it doesn't cut too much into my partying time.

I'll find you at some point and extract my gin money; where you came up with the idea of the "Little Miss Attila Gin Escrow," and convinced people that YOU could be trusted with it . . . well, I'll never know.

  4. Question: How much do I have to donate for you to cover Ron Paul's events and score (and record) an interview with the man?
