QUOTE FROM SARAH PALIN

"Divorce Todd? Have you seen Todd? I may be just a renegade hockey mom, but I'm not blind!"
-- SARAH PALIN

Yes, that is her OFFICIAL reponse, which I got via phone at 5:35 this afternoon. Take that to the bank.

ORIGINAL POST (5:35 P.M.): More at the American Spectator. I expect to update here in a few minutes with a very recent photo of the very happily married couple. The stupid rumor via Memeorandum, and you can also read more at Conservatives For Palin.

UPDATE: Dan Riehl has the same quote. In a phone conversation just now, I was remarking to a friend that I had been in the middle of writing an article about something else when this idiotic rumor went online.

While I can't speak on Dan's behalf, I would personally like to say: "Thank you, demented lying moonbats, for providing this unexpected opportunity to score a worldwide scoop with the governor's quote."

UPDATE 7:51 p.m.: Commenters ask if the quote is legit. Yes, absolutely. Authorized and official.

Really, I understand why people ask, "Why would Sarah Palin give her first official reaction to some blogger dudes, rather than to the Washington Post or the New York Times?"

Simple answer: "Why should she? What kind of treatment has she received from them in the past?"

Meanwhile, another commenter asks if there will be more quotes. Probably not today. Unlike vicious lying left-wing bloggers who have nothing better to do with their weekends but spreading libel, Sarah Palin has a life.

But if you do want to give an exclusive interview to "some blogger dude," Mrs. Palin, just give me a call. I haven't steered you wrong yet, have I?

  3. By God, I adore this lady.

Didn't she tell the media to quit making stuff up? Huh, guess they didn't...huh.

I wish she'd grab the collective balls of the media and twist them until they popped.

  4. Will there be any more quotes from Sarah posted. I presume this quote is legit. Such a classic Sarah quote, I know she probably said this because this is how she rolls. TexMex, the media will continue to make stuff up because Sarah Palin is the ultimate threat to the Marxist Obama

  5. Thank you so much for posting this, will there be more quotes from Sarah because I had read her attorney say that she might release a statement? Since you have talked to her, any idea as to when she will get her twitter page up and running?

  6. I think this rumor was started to divert attention from a little video making its way around the Internet. The video is called Ethicsgate. The AK bloggers have repeatedly had it removed from YouTube, but it is finally up now. You can view it here:

  7. I believe Sarah Palin's new Twitter account will be @SarahPalin. Anyone else notice that this account "launched" right around the time Palin stepped down? That account was previously operated as a Palin news account. Something must have happened behind the scenes within the last two months... I'm not crazy, listen to my latest podcast and you can play along at home!

  12. I really don't have any idea whether this is true or not. How on earth are you so sure?

What did you think when you first heard Mark Sanford's office explain his absence? Lying left-wing bloggers, right?

The Enquirer says there are affidavits about the affair, and their track record on affairs is pretty good - just ask John Edwards.

Don't build up a politician - ANY politician - into somebody infallible. They're as fallible as most of us, and when it comes to personal relationships, usually moreso.

  13. They have to make things up in order to get ratings. Guess now they will have to watch what they say, Sarah and her family are all private citizens now and are free to sue the pants off of them!

  17. Palin is the reason McCain lost. Sorry folks, she's an idiot.

  18. Obama is a Marxist!?! Pure comedy. I'd bet dollars to donuts that none of you idiots have read anything by Marx nor do you know what Marxism is. You most likely haven't read Adam Smith either.

  19. "Palin is the reason McCain lost. Sorry folks, she's an idiot"

    Well said.
The people who still think she's qualified
to run this country are indeed "Sorry folks"

  20. Um, yeah I have seen Todd..and no I don't think he is hot.

I wish Ms. Palin well..but really, who cares?

  21. Palin got McCain 27,000,000+ more votes than he would have gotten with any other VP candidate

    ReplyDelete
  22. Yes of course, McCain was waaaay ahead before he chose Palin as his VP. Oh wait, no he wasn't. Nor was he making any headway. He was just trailing in perpetuity. It took one convention speech for her to outshine and transcend her running mate. The left remembers this and they fear it like nothing else. That is why they are relentless in their attempts to destroy her.
However you said she was an idiot so I guess we are all supposed to buy into that.
    Yeah that'll work.

  23. Yea, and Mark Sanford was just driving along the beautiful coast of Argentina.

  24. To Anonymous,
Not to get into a "no-you-haven't, yes-I-have" thing here, but I have read Marx, and Adam Smith. Also have read Alinsky, Friedman, and Hayek. I know the differences between marxism, socialism, and capitalism. Obama's policies are socialistic.

As for Sarah Palin, I voted for her, more so than voting for McCain. I wish her and her family the best, and I am hoping to see and hear more from her in the future.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Left-wing bloggers?! This sh*t comes straight from McCain campaign staffers *still* fighting about 'who lost the campaign' LOL

    ReplyDelete
  26. I've read Marx; studied Marx with actual members of the CPUSA in fact. I've also read Adam Smith.
I've also read Obama's books and studied his history.
He has been raised and steeped in Marxism all his life. He doesn't know anything else.
His speeches are rife with Marxist platitudes. His policies are Marxist, though being a pragmatist (unprincipled opportunist) he has start out with fascist proposals and see if they fly before he can go full blown Stalin on us.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I agree with Anon 7:26 ... with Sarah, McCain would've lost in a landslide. He just sucked as a candidate, couldn't frame a thought or outline a plan for this country. He let Obama drive the debates, and never once called him on his BS, his associations with bad people, or his pathetic 'voting' record.

Imagine the difference in outcome if the media focused on Obama's true story, and how pathetic Biden is, rather than making up stories about who fathered the daughter's child, and all the other efforts to character assassinate Palin.

    ReplyDelete
  28. If she said that, it's the smartest thing she's said since she came into public eye.

    ReplyDelete
  29. funny how she uses this lame quote in place of a real heartfelt answer to the questions/assumptions. seems like a straight up dodge to me. wouldn't surprise me a bit if it ends up being true.

    ReplyDelete
  30. seriously, i doubt there's any "left wing smearing" going on here. most liberals would gladly have Sarah Palin as the GOP nominee next time around. Obama's next term would be essentialy in the bag.

    ReplyDelete
  31. WHY DOES SARAH PALIN SCARE SO MANY PEOPLE? SHE'S SMART, ATTRACTIVE, WELL SPOKEN, INFORMED, ALL AMERICAN, A MOVER AND SHAKER, BELIEVES IN LIFE, LIBERTY, AND JUSTICE, UPHOLDS THE PRINCIPLES OUR FOUNDING FATHERS CREATED THIS GREAT NATION FROM. GOOD LORD, I ANSWERED MY OWN QUESTION. FOR THE SAKE OF MY FAMILY AND THIS COUNTRY, I THINK SHE IS ONE HOPE THAT SHOWS BACK UP ON THE POLICITAL SCENE.

  32. This is my first post and it may not be very informative but Anonymous you are truly a douchbag. As far as you Libs thinking Obama's
2nd term is a sure thing if she is the nominee You dumb bastards said the same thing about Reagan! But you fools never did learn from history

  34. Just wishful thinking on someone's part. Not wishing heartbreak or doom, but wishful in such a way, that a beautiful, classy, sexy, smart and powerful woman would be available. Or at least thats what I would be thinking.

    ReplyDelete
  35. and JL...my, my. why so much viloence spewing from all you narrow minded fools? beating people into thinking how you do? sounds awfully familiar. extremist comes to mind. "if you don't think how i think--and i have no legitimate argument--then i guess i should just beat you into thinking the 'right' way." idiot.

  36. Anybody spreading this rumor is a tool- and should be ashamed of themselves. Talk about desperate- it's hard watching the Dear Leader tank, apparently.

Palin’s resignation obviously puts yet more pressure on Obama to finally get some results, as the soaring rhetoric isn’t hypnotizing the plebes like it used to. There’s another viable alternative waiting in the wings now... just as we hear stirrings of Obamania's death-rattle.

Alaska was a pretty corrupt system until Sarah Palin stepped in. Her reforms took on entrenched politicians (inc. Republicans), a mafioso-style union boss, and Big Oil.

Wouldn’t it have been nice if Obama had been principled and brave enough to confront the corrupt Chicago Democratic Machine? Or shady political operators like Tony Rezko? Racist preachers? Instead of doing business with every last one of them?

IMO Palin could trounce him in 2012, when Americans would vote for the Gipper-in-Heels in droves- they’ll surely being looking for such an antidote to the current Bolshevik con-artist who’s taken a wrecking-ball to this society.

No wonder the far-left moonbats -along with Team Obama’s David Plouffe and his internet squads- are out to destroy her.

Answer: Because the blogger dudes are the ones smacking down the liars.

    ReplyDelete
  38. "She's an idiot!"
    - - - - -

Hmmm, okay. Elected city councilmember, elected city's mayor, chaired the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission for three years, then elected governor of Alaska - in fact, the first woman governor, and the youngest governor in the state's history. Cleaned up some corruption along the way, nailed down a pipeline deal the state had been chasing for years at a very nice rate of payment for the state . . . .

Yeah. I should be so dumb.

  40. The YAF has conventions up the coast? Srsly?

Oh, wait . . . it's kind of comin' back to me, now. Something about talking with Mrs. Goldstein, and then running out to steal a drag from Stacy's cigar, prompting Rusty Shackleford to say, "it must be nice, being a woman."

"Yeah," I told him. "In some ways, it is."

  41. Sarah is raising 5 children, ran the Governors office, cooked, worked with her husband and now is helping with her baby and grandchild. Hey, how many books have you read???? Bet Katie Couric wouldn't have been able to get out of bed, much less read with that work load.
