Liberal argument: ObamaCare
'is, like, so NOT socialism and stuff'

Dude, I love how this blogger rolls:
I would like for what passes as the vocal intelligentsia on the left like Paul Krugman, Robert Reich, Joan Walsh, E.J. Dionne, Keith Olbermann, Nancy Pelosi, Chris Matthews, Maureen Dowd, Frank Rich, Barney Frank, Eugene Robinson and the rest of that hilariously Obama-love-struck chorus to answer a simple question.
They have told us that the President’s health care proposal isn’t socialism. And it is, like, so NOT socialism and stuff that, like, if you even say that it is then you are, like, probably a racist and a Nazi and stuff.
I would like that brain trust of Kool-Aid afficionados to tell us what President Obama would have to propose vis-à-vis health care for them to consider it a lurch towards socialism.
(Audio cue: chirping crickets.)

  2. The leftys I talk to call Medicare and Social Securtiy socialism.

I say...well, old people might not call it that.
Because it don't pay too well.

And now that they are saying that there will be no COLA for SS for the next couple of years, they are saying that socialism sucks.

  3. The more honest admit that it is socialism but don't see any problem with it. Socialism is progressive and it almost always works or something like that which they apparently teach in public schools these days.

  4. Lefty logic goes something like this: I won’t tolerate intolerance. I judge you to be too judgmental. I’m absolutely certain that there are no such things as absolutes. I can’t be hypocritical because I have no values or principles to violate, which is why I’m always moralizing and claiming that I am morally superior to you low down dirty conservatives who don’t live up, perfectly and at all times, to the impossible high standards you claim to uphold or at least believe in.

And a current one: It is not socialism, and if it was socialism what would be so bad about that anyway.

  5. per Margaret Thatcher: "The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money."

"We want a society in which we are free to make choices, to make mistakes, to be generous and compassionate. That is what we mean by a moral society - not a society in which the State is responsible for everything, and no one is responsible for the State."
