If it suddenly seems like the Obama campaign doesn't have any idea what it's doing, maybe that's because it doesn't.Obama's recent "pledge" to raise taxes only on households earning over $250,000 a year is the classic error produced by this sort of echo-chamber liberalism. What Obama doesn't seem to understand is this: Middle-class voters don't trust Democrats on taxes, period. Obama would do best to avoid the subject of taxes entirely, but instead repeats Clinton's lying 1992 promise of "middle-class tax cuts," while claiming he'll only raise taxes on "the rich."
Barack Obama has never run a campaign against a real Republican. And his main strategist, David Axelrod, is way out of his areas of expertise.
Axelrod specializes in urban politics. . . .
[Axelrod's] left-populism did work for Deval Patrick in the People's Republic of Massachusetts. . . .
The approach appeals to Democrats. . . . But it just doesn't sell with the great American middle.
Obama's never faced a serious GOP opponent, and his chief strategists (Axelrod and David Plouffe) have practically zero experience in general-election campaigns in "red" states. By comparison, Steve Schmidt ran Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's successful re-election campaign in deeply "blue" California.
How could you possibly be an award winner anywhere but amongst ignorant folks like yourself. Its easy to comment but can you offer an option to resolve the current state of affairs or better yet write an article that inspires positive thinking. That's harder, right?
ReplyDeleteMight also have to do with the fact that Obama has yet to really address the issue of his ties to Radical Islam. Obama has not once addressed the issue of Kenyan Muslim Dictator Raila Odinga and the fact that he's given campaign contributions to him, and campaigned on his behalf. He's skirted over the issue of his upbringing in a heavily Islamic public school.
ReplyDeleteAmerican voters just don't want to vote for someone who has ties to Radical Islam.
But even Conservative media are afraid to mention this when the subject of why Obama is losing comes up.
So, I guess it's left up to us Libertarians.

ReplyDeleteI dunno, this post inspires lots of positive thought for me.
But that's just me.
...
Hey!
ReplyDeleteYeah!
Way to cite the NYPost!
For those of you outside of NYC, the Post is
the cheapest rag you can find in our city. Besides
being owned by NewsCorp., the Post was under the management of Rupert Murdoch's sons, which as far as I can tell makes it a run of the mill FoxNews subsidiary. I wouldn't line my birdcage with that trash.
But don't let that stop you! Soon enough you'll be citing another legitimate news source, like the National Enquirer perhaps....
