Video: Roman Polanski vs. Chris Hansen

Via Conservative Grapevine, we discover -- who knew? -- that the Oscar-winning director beloved in France has been cruising AOL chatrooms:

Also, via Memeorandum comes this shining example of the power of a declarative sentence:
"Roman Polanski anally raped a 13-year old girl."
With a lede like that, you can't go wrong, Professor. As that famous Kentucky native Hunter S. Thompson observed, "Nothing catches an editor's eye like a good rape."

  1. Yes, well, his comment to Mr. Martin Amis during a book interview in 1979 is probably a truthful reflection of his actual thoughts on the matter:

“If I had killed somebody, it wouldn’t have had so much appeal to the press, you see? But… f—ing, you see, and the young girls. Judges want to f— young girls. Juries want to f— young girls. Everyone wants to f— young girls!”

Yes, we see, Roman. The young girls, the young girls, for you it’s all about the young girls. Did you ever wonder what the hell you were about? You drugged her and sodomized her, and why not..the young girls!! What the f*&%, did you think of nothing else but the temporary satisfaction of your twisted sexual desires from an innocence that was not yours to take? And this is the work of a great man, a great talent?!

Could it be that his view of the world is so off base that he really thinks everybody has the same self-interest, lack of maturity and casual disregard for others as he does?

It is unlikely he has ever perceived something amiss in who he has allowed himself to be.

A fine young writer takes her measure of the man here:

    and again here:

I was particularly found of the piece she titled “Worthless Piece of Crap”.

  2. And she has it all over on Lyndsay Lohan.

Rule Five? As Sarah would say, "You betcha!"
