The Sour Grapes of Wrath

"In the 21st-century 24/7 cable-TV era, it sometimes seems there are two kinds of people: People who are TV-famous and people desperately trying to become TV-famous. Back when I was a young man with rock-star dreams, losers who wanted to impress you would drop the names of famous record producers who were supposedly interested in their latest demo tape. Nowadays, the same type of people are bragging about how their agent is this close to getting them a 'development' deal for a reality-TV show. But enough about Levi Johnston . . ."

  1. How about blog famous? I drop your name all the time when chatting with my friends. The usual response is, huh?

    Only kiiiiiiiiiiiiiiding!!

And then my kinky husband, who will not let your book out of his grasp, reads your creds last night and says to moi, "Wow, I had no idea RSM was such a heavy hitter." I corrected him poste haste!

  2. That poor dumb kid doesn't realize how he's going to be tossed out the door the minute the Left is done using him against Palin. Everyone says he has 15 minutes left. I give him much more than that - they'll keep him around till they see if Palin is going to run or not. If she runs, they'll trot him out to repeat his little stories about the things that only HE saw going on in the Palin family. Naturally, no one will care any more than they do now. I see this kid dead or major screwed up in two years.

He reminds me a little of Pinocchio, but not as nice. We were all young once. Perhaps he will grow up some. He was better off just hanging with his friends and playing hockey. But as annonymous says above, his career as a commentor will continue only as long as Governor Palin is either potentially running for office or governing.

Sooner or later he is going to realize that all the best things in his life he left up in Alaska.

It's weird, isn't it? The MSM are using Levi kind of the way Levi used Bristol. So, really, there's a sort of rough justice involved. When he finally gets kicked to the curb, broke and hopeless, I don't imagine anyone will pity him. He's chosen his own path, and when he gets where he's going, he'll have no one to blame but himself.
