After Steele survived a bruising six-ballot battle Friday for the GOP chairmanship, Liz Sidoti of the Associated Press made sure to cast the election in ideological terms, dubbing the former Maryland lieutenant governor "the most moderate candidate in the field."
In truth, Steele is a committed pro-life Catholic who proudly calls himself a "Reagan Republican," and ideological differences had relatively little impact on the RNC's choice. . . .

As a fellow Roman Catholic, who actually attempts to adhere to the Magisterium, I am so excited about the Steele pick.
ReplyDeleteOn top of everything he is dynamic, articulate and will not cede ground to the Left.
We can just continue to cede certain states, with certain concomitant demographics in the country...
If we can at least go on the offensive in certain blue states, and make the Dems work for those that will free up more Rep resources for battleground areas!
