J.P. Freire has a post about the controversy surrounding this video of a Jan. 26 appearance on "The O'Reilly Factor" where Williams calls Michelle Obama "Stokely Carmichael in a designer dress": Kiddies, if you don't know who Stokely Carmichael was, let David Horowitz tell you.
UPDATE: The liberals at NPR are wringing their hands.

Any excuse for a video with MKH.. :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, he did. But as a warning. Juan was my favorite interviewer when I listened to NPR, so his signing on the Fox meant fair and balanced to me (at least attempts). He sees what Michelle is. Unlike Jackie O., whose biggest concern/fault was being personally broke, Michelle O's problem could be "blame Whitey". She comes from the Democratic political machine in Chicago. She's black. Race relations do play a part up there. And Juan notices that.
ReplyDeleteI like how Juan dittoed MKH's point when O'Reilly tried to talk over her.
ReplyDeleteYou could post a video of MKH weighing the pros and cons of various brands of cat litter, and I'd probably watch.
ReplyDeleteI think the commenter at the NPR ombudsman page said it best - call a spade a spade. She has a history of hating Whitey and virulently so. Maybe not on the order of Stokely Carmichael by suggesting armed warfare, but definitely very radical.
