Tears of Hope

"We watched everything and George was still doing all the anchoring for ABC and as soon Beyonce said 'At Last...' George called me at home and he went, 'Honey?' and I said 'I know!' and we both started crying."
-- George Stephanopoulos's wife, Ali Wentworth, on "Oprah," describing Inauguration Day

UPDATE: Linked at Hot Air Headlines.

UPDATE II: Matthew Archbold: "[W]e're supposed to believe that he's objective. I'm not sure I can get there unless he cried when Clarence Thomas was sworn onto the Supreme Court."

  5. Funnily enough, he's "married" to Alexandra Wentworth who was in the cast of In Living Color and is most memorable when she played the unfaithful girlfriend who dumps Peter in the movie "Office Space."

  8. When are people going to start crying over the death of Democracy? It is no longer a bad thing to be a Socialist now that we officially have President Obama.

  11. I cried too.... :( I am still crying...

I imagine I will continue to cry for 8+ years, since I don't see another conservative in the White House for a long time to come- as pointed out in a great article regarding the Electoral advantages of California and the North East...

    *Waaaaaauuuuuugh!!!*

  13. This shit is just nauseating. These idiots treat every transition from GOP to Democratic administrations like an overthrow of a dictatorship they narrowly survived by living underground while "speaking truth to power." Remember all that "power to the people" crap during Clinton's first inaugural? An observer could be forgiven for thinking that Bush 41 and Reagan had thrown millions into a gulag for speaking out.

These people need to get a life. I'm sure I'll be criticizing Obama a good deal during the next 4 years (hopefully not 8), but I'm not going to let the fact that he's president ruin my life.
