Obama vs. Rush Limbaugh

Democrats never learn, do they?
President Obama warned Republicans on Capitol Hill today that they need to quit listening to radio king Rush Limbaugh if they want to get along with Democrats and the new administration.
"You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done," he told top GOP leaders, whom he had invited to the White House to discuss his nearly $1 trillion stimulus package.
One White House official confirmed the comment but said he was simply trying to make a larger point about bipartisan efforts.
"There are big things that unify Republicans and Democrats," the official said. "We shouldn't let partisan politics derail what are very important things that need to get done."
I remember when Bill Clinton used to try this tactic of demonizing Limbaugh. It doesn't work. Given the choice of listening to Obama or listening to Rush, any Republican in Congress who needs to think twice is useless and doomed.

"Hey, maybe he can get an Air America gig if this president thing doesn't work out." As they say, "Heh."

UPDATE: Kathy Shaidle on "Teleprompter Jesus." MacsMind: "Obama ain't worthy to tie Rush Limbaugh's shoes."

Meanwhile, Ann Althouse visits the (nearly empty) Obama bookstore shrine.

  1. STFU Stacy. I wish you were as prescient when you voted the most unpopular president in history into office. Twice. Now, crawl back under your rock for the day.

Oh my... You're about as klassy as your Marxist Messiah.

For democrats, "bipartisan" means "our way or the highway."

AFAIC, the democrats can go to hell (faster).

Just look at how they intend to stifle "job creation" (they hate the competition) and, in turn, economic recovery:

Small Business to Get Short Shrift from Obama Administration
Entrepreneurs will face a slew of new taxes, a stifling regulatory environment, and politicians who bail out the well-connected.

Anyone who believes that Democrats are the "party of the middle class" needs to get real.

Democrats are the party of the uber-rich (including corporations and the ruling class) and the uber-dependent (which they Hope™ to turn us all into one day).

We own a small business and we are ready to shrug. Let's see how far their grand plans get without their enemies' tax dollars.
