Quin Hillyer vs. Mark Salter

Oh, boy! Pop the popcorn:
Brian Faughnan has an interesting post about the potential primary challenge to the mercurial John McCain by conservative former Rep. J.D. Hayworth. It seems that McCain alter ego Mark Salter was not above some truly nasty political hardball against Hayworth back in 2006. Well, I hereby "call out" Salter. Mr. Salter: You sir, are a low-life, pompous windbag. Actually, you don't merit the honorific "sir." . . .
Read the rest, which ends with "vermin."

Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) is arguably the hottest Democrat in Congress . . .

She's clearly no match for Michelle Bachmann (R-Hotness), but still . . . she's cute. However, being a cute liberal atheist baby-killer commie Democrat was not enough to save her from the wrath of the "angry mob":
When "facts" were presented by Giffords or her supporters that everyone knew to be false, she was met with a loud round of boos. When she declared her support for the public option, the boos and jeers could have toppled buildings with their intensity. . . .
From what I could tell by last night, the American people are truly waking up to what their government is doing. They are becoming motivated and involved. The tide is finally changing.
If an election were held today, Rep. Giffords would surely lose.
Alas, the defeat of Giffords would increase the Ugly Quotient of the Democratic caucus to intolerable levels, perhaps even into the deadly Mikulski range. So enjoy her hotness while you can. There's video, too:

Via Instapundit. Remember that it was at one of Giffords' town-halls last month that an Obama thug slammed his elbow into an opponent's face.

VIDEO: Pro-Obama town hall disrupter's actions speak louder than words

In Tucson, Arizona:
The Tucson area Tea Party Coalition held a meeting at Rincon High School in Tucson this weekend.
The pro-Obama thug disrupted the meeting screaming-- marched to the front of the room holding a sign------
And, then SLAMMED AN ATTENDEE IN THE FACE with his elbow!

More at Gateway Pundit and Tucson Tea Party.

Meanwhile, Arizona Democratic Rep. Gabrielle Giffords is planning health-care town halls tonight and Tuessay:

The events are open to the public, but Giffords' office asks that those who want to attend make reservations by phone or send an e-mail specifying which session they plan to attend.
Today's forum is set for 6 p.m. at the Buena Performing Arts Center, 5225 Buena School Blvd., in Sierra Vista. Reservations: 1-520-459-3115 (long-distance from Tucson) or RSVPGiffords.CochiseCounty@mail.house.gov.
The other two forums are scheduled for Tuesday:
• 9 to 11 a.m. at the West Social Center, 1111 Via Arcoiris, in Green Valley. Reservations: 881-3588 or RSVPGiffords.GreenValley@email.house.gov.
• 6 to 8 p.m., Sahuaro High School, 545 N. Camino Seco, Tucson. Reservations: 881-3588 or RSVPGiffords@mail.house.gov.

Perhaps readers in Arizona will want to contact Ms. Giffords' office and ask if there will be Obama thugs on hand at these meetings to make sure everybody has a chance to get elbowed in the face.

Speaking of Arizona, my friend Barbara Espinosa -- "Grandma Is An Angry Mob" -- has a report on how they greeted the pro-Obama crowd last week in Phoenix:
Organizing for America left the Electric Union building in Phoenix tonight to tour America in a custom designed and painted bus in an effort to counter the grassroots movement against Obama's socialized healthcare bill. . . .
Grassroot protesters received notice 24 hours prior to the rally to get your signs together don't forget to bring water and let's roll. For short notice temp of 108 we made a very good showing. Every time they chanted we want healthcare now we shouted NEVER.

Your new hero: Barbara Espinosa

Every revolution begins with one courageous individual, relentlessly dedicated to a cause -- and perhaps written up in my American Spectator column:
Tom's Tavern in Phoenix was "packed to the rafters" Monday morning, Barbara Espinosa told me. "You could hardly move."
The tavern was the scene of a "Health Care Town Hall" event hosted by J.D. Hayworth, the former Arizona Republican congressman who is now a popular talk radio host on KFYI in Phoenix.
President Obama was in town to address the annual convention of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Ms. Espinosa was a member of the crowd who marched from Tom's Tavern to the Phoenix Convention Center to welcome the president, carrying signs with slogans like, "Pull the Plug on ObamaCare" and "Marx Was Not a Founding Father."
Had Ms. Espinosa not been in the crowd, I wouldn't have known about the protest. She posted a notice of the Tom's Tavern rally on her blog and, using her cell phone, sent me photos of the protest that I posted on my blog.
Welcome to the Information Age, where somebody's grandma is changing the world one Facebook update at a time. . . .
Read the whole thing. Ms. Espinosa is planning to attend the 9/12 Taxpayer March on DC, so we might have to organize a "Smittypalooza" in her honor. You should add her as your Facebook friend.

'Angry mob' awaits Obama in Phoenix
UPDATE: LIVE PHOTOS!

BUMPED 11:45 a.m. ET: Barbara Espinosa is sending photos from Phoenix via her Blackberry:

A friendly historical reminder about the American founding. And notice the yellow sign at right: "Obama's New Motto: How Can I Fool Them Today?" Except I don't think it's exactly new . . .

Notice that this lady is in a wheelchair. You may look at her and say, "Oh, look -- a patriotic American exercising her First Amendment right to free speech!" But that just goes to show you what an evil racist you are. (BTW, thanks to Jimmie Bise for the linkage.)

An unidentified hottie in front of the KFYI radio booth displays her opposition to ObamaCare, as well as her nice legs. In Barbara's last message, she reported that it's 100 degrees in Phoenix today, so if the Tea Party ladies are dressed for the weather . . . We're understanding. We care.

Beth Straley displays her "Birther" pride. I am on record in opposition to Birtherism, although co-blogger Smitty is moderate on that issue. Still, you've got to love that one bumper sticker on Ms. Straley's sign:

"Kenya Called. They Want Their Marxist Back."
If that's not worth a "Heh," I don't know from "Heh."

A friendly Phoenix welcome for our Commander-in-Chief. Please note the yellow Gadsden Flag in the right background of the photo.

(ORIGINAL POST) 11:13 a.m. ET: My new BFF, American Freedom blogger Barbara Espinosa of Arizona, informs me that the Arizona Tea Party Patriots are rallying this morning in Phoenix, where President Obama is due to address the annual convention of the VFW.

KFYI's J.D. Hayworth has live coverage of the rally at Tom's Tavern. Rumors that Barbara Espinosa has gotten a Gadsden Flag tattoo have not yet been confirmed.
