NY23 BULLETIN: Doug Hoffman campaign raised $116K online Thursday

Doug Hoffman campaign spokesman Rob Ryan just called to give me that news.

UPDATE: Given previous reports that the campaign had raised $210,000 in the week ending Tuesday, and estimating more than $30,000 for Wednesday, this puts the Hoffman campaign's online fundraising at about $400,000 in the past nine days.

Want to make it an even $500,000? Every little bit helps.

UPDATE II: Democrat Bill Owens already raised more than $500,000 before this week. If conservatives want to let the Democrats buy this election, that's up to you. Otherwise . . .

Well, I've got to get back on the road if I'm going to make it to Hoffman HQ in Saranac Lake this afternoon. Expect Jimmie Bise to be posting further updates as I report by phone.

  1. What did I tell you?

Most of it probably came from Movement people who picked up on the Palin rumor.

Sarah opened up the floodgates. Don't think other campaigns around the country aren't watching what happens when she waves her wand and tosses the Pixie Dust at someone's campaign. Like Hoffman's, for instance.

There are a gaggle of clueless Republicans in D.C. (who, btw, couldn't beat Josef Mengele in a race for Mayor of Tel Aviv...) who believe that Sarah should sit down and shut up. These people are about to be silenced by the much more pragmatic field operatives in the country who see what is happening in NY-23.

  2. I'm a Palin supporter in Kentucky. I gave money to Hoffman in response to her announcement........and I PROMISE YOU, it would NEVER have happened (even if Palin had asked me to) if the GOP hadn't given so much money to the RINO. I resent Ron Paul people "money bombing" my state to elect "Son of Ron" to be my senator. They should have stayed out of it.......but once the first salvo is fired, as the GOP did in NY-23, it's okay to fight back from conservative sources out of the district. They started it. We're going to end it. And let me just add, BILL JOHNSON FOR SENATE IN KENTUCKY!

  4. As a donor, while I am not anti-Palin, it had nothing to do with her.

It must be about principles. I gave when I found out that the GOP was behind a left of center Republican. Being for Card Check is pro-union anti-free market nonsense. Support from WFP is an endorsement from hard left, not center. I am afraid if Scozzafava gets in, she will be an Arlen or Snowe. Worse yet is a Gillibrand who ran pro 2nd Amendment & as soon as she gets a nod from Democrats & goes to DC, she is a radical left anti-2nd Amendment.

  5. Newt Gingrich! What are you doing?

Withdraw your support for Dede! Dump Dede!

How can any Republican support a woman who champions intimidation of people by the Union thugs? How can Newt back a woman who supports the truly evil plan of Card Check?

  6. Stacy, it's been unseasonally chilly in the northeast, with wet snow and lots of rain falling in a lot of locales. Overnight lows are near the freezing point. Please be careful driving, especially if you're on the road at night.

And great work reporting from the scene, once again.

  7. As soon as I got a post of Palin's enorsement from Facebook, I donated $50 dollars.

Sarah's endorsment of a conservative Independent is exactly the lesson the GOP needs to learn.

    Conservatism trumps party.

  8. Am sending $50 to Doug's campaign. Would send more if I could, but it's better than nothing.

Hope others do the same. Many thousands of small contributions can add up to send a real message by ringing the bell louder.

Also sent RNC their form -- appropriately completed with comments, and zero contribution.

  9. Yep. Sent the Hoffman campaign $25 on Sarah's behalf!

  10. that is another $25 for Palin's SarahPac and another $25 for this guy

that is not because I have a lot of money to spare but just an acknowledgement that I do not have a lot of money to spare because of the thievery and lies from Pelosi, Obama and his Mass-Murderers Endorsing Czars.

so just before they redistributes whatever I have left, why not give it away myself. At least this way it goes to something that I choose, and not another mind boggling DC spenditure.

Use your dollars as longs as you can do something with them...

  11. Is Chris Christie of NJ having second thoughts about keeping Palin away from his campaign? Maybe he's now thinking, 'better ask Palin to come campaign with me before she endorses the 3rd party candidate!!'

I hear these Republican campaign strategists in NJ and VA were afraid Palin would be a liability to them. What idiots, haha--Palin can turn the tides and score wins. Hoffman will win election on Nov. 3rd. The next day, Christie will realize that he lost--and that had he brought Palin on, the outcome would've been different.
