Dept. of Lousy Headlines

Ralph Z. Hallow of The Washington Times has an exclusive interview with Gov. Sarah Palin in which she says:
"I will go around the country on behalf of candidates who believe in the right things, regardless of their party label or affiliation," she said over lunch in her downtown office, 40 miles from her now-famous hometown of Wasilla -- population 7,000 -- where she began her political career.
"People are so tired of the partisan stuff -- even my own son is not a Republican," said Mrs. Palin . . .
Read the whole thing, but try not to freak out over the headline:
EXCLUSIVE: Palin to stump for conservative Democrats
Well, hypothetically, perhaps -- assuming there is a contested election featuring a Democratic candidate "who believe[s] in the right things" vs. a Republican who doesn't. More likely, she sounds like she might be signaling her willingness to back some GOP primary challengers -- the Club For Growth types -- against RINO incumbents.

Given that I'm already campaigning for the defeat of the Waxman-Markey Eight -- the worthless sellouts who voted for the Nancy Pelosi's "cap-and-trade" energy tax -- why should I object to Palin joining the RINO hunt?

Also: Anybody want to buy a T-shirt?

UPDATE: Maybe Sarah Palin is talking about campaigning against the Republican senator who had his hand on David Brooks' thigh?

UPDATE II: The editors at The Washington Times came up with a new headline:
EXCLUSIVE: Palin plans to stay in politics
Much better.

  2. I am conservative and I will back Sarah no matter what letter is after her name!
The Rove/McCain(not you Stacy!)/Bush strategy of moving the GOP to the far or extreme left (Karl called it “triangulation” after Clinton) has been a disaster! In 01 There were 292 Republicans in Congress (counting RINOS). After 2 Massacres there are only 218 (again counting RINOS). That’s a loss of over 25%!@#%! America *IS CONSERVATIVE* The GOP has not been for many years. That the GOP is mor liberal than the Democrats is understood by the “swing voters”: and the Tea Party folk.
I live in a town that is very conservative. Ronnie got *OVER* 70% in both 80 + 84! Many of my neighbors have been voting Democrat the last few elections. Their reason is that Democrats are less liberal nowadays than the GOP. If you can not get perfect take good! They say the GOP leaders are all liars – especially when they say they are conservative and then back “Nanny Staters’ like Crist! As my Scotch ancestors saying “Actions speak louder than words”. The GOP elite scream LIBERAL with their leftist actions!
I voted for the only conservative on the ballot in 08 Barr.
The GOP is committing suicide. Why not lent them a hand and break away? They obviously do not want to live. Had they had any fight in ‘em they would have knocked McCain (not Stacy) down 11/5/08 when he started attacking Sarah. That they have done *NOTHING TO DATE* shows they condone his back stabbing!
    Go Sarah!

  4. Palin has energized the base more than I've seen since Reagan. She says it like it is on a level that people can relate to, and that is part of her appeal.

If it's going to help your campaign against the Wacky-Marxist 8, I detailed what those eight got in the way of earmarks over at The Right Stuff (http://therightstuffbng.blogspot.com/2009/07/cap-and-trade-got-earmarks.html). I want to see them go in the worst way!
