Good-bye, populist street-cred!

Let's face it: Once you attend a book-signing party for Richard Brookhiser at the home of David Frum, the peasants-with-pitchforks act might not play in Peoria anymore . . . Oh, yeah: Conor Friedersdorf was there, too.

  1. Conservative suckers- the people that make him wrinkle his nose- bought David Frum that nice house. Where does he get his income from now? Surely not from his crappy website. Whoever employs him must be boycotted.

  2. Let's see...
'Sleeping With The Enemy' or 'Donnie Brasco'?

I tend to believe you're the latter so I'll fugettaboutdit [I die with you, Stacy]. I know you resisted their fiendish charms [Here I am, you pod bastards! Hey, pods! Come and get me you scum!]

But then again I believed at one time that David Wormtongue Brooks was not a slimy worm who pontificates from the putrid dungheap of pablum puking punditry.

  4. The best kind of populist is a faux-populist. Thanks for the pics from inside the encampment.

  5. Smitty: the next step will be you saying 'Stacy, you're nothing to me now. You're not a brother, you're not a friend. I don't want to know you or what you do. I don't want to see you at the hotels, I don't want you near my house. When you see our mother, I want to know a day in advance, so I won't be there. You understand?'

We are all fallen creatures born in sin. Forgive--you don't have to forget--but forgive this sinner, my son. Beati pauperes spiritu, Amen.

  7. Good timing RSM,

Frum just wrote his ever predictable anti-Palin post resignation screed. Why attend parties of those who you so vehemently disagree with and even bash on your blog. Oh well, Mike Murphy will probably have a party soon too. He wrote a similar article on the “Palin train wreck” today too. It’s so fun hearing from the Conservatives who matter. BTW, can I be your Facebook Friend/ Guest blogger or what?

  8. Yeah, those Washington party-goers. Not like Robert Stacy McCain! Who has NEVER been to a Washington party: except in some bizarro universe known as "reality."

Bobby, I still hold open my interviewing you offer. The world NEEDS to hear your voice! And quickly, before the End Times are upon us!

  9. Stacy, to update the old saying: If you can't eat their food, drink their booze, covet their women and then go home and flame them, you don't belong in the blog business. Fortunately, that doesn't seem to be a problem for you.

  10. Don Corleone said it best: keep your friends....

Also, those conservative women, especially Frump's wife,...ahh...those ladies definitely need to gain weight, add some botox and put some make up. I'll take Saracuda any day.
